First, let me thank you for making Mattersey Hall a serious consideration in your plans and aspirations for your future. You are capable of immense achievement. You can make a unique impact on the lives of countless people. So the possibility of Mattersey Hall being involved in your training and equipping is an enormous privilege for us. Our role is to invest in and empower a new generation to lead, to teach, to fulfil their dreams, talents and abilities. We would be thrilled if that opportunity involved you!
Our undergraduate residential training programme can be tailored to suit a wide range of situations. You can study at Mattersey Hall for short courses, for a single semester, for a year, for two years, or for three years. You can study on a part time or a full time basis, and you can mix distance learning study with residential study. All these forms of studying are provided at Mattersey Hall, and virtually all of them are validated by the University of Wales.
Most undergraduate residential students choose to study full time with us for three years. This leads towards a BA degree. It also entitles the student to financial support from the government. And perhaps most importantly, it gives a significant period of time for the student to achieve a high level of ability and confidence in their chosen vocation. The BA degree provides a pathway to Masters programmes that the college provides. It also opens the door to vocations such as, for instance, school teaching. Each year a number of Mattersey Hall graduates continue their studies in this way.
You will find further details on the BA modules offered at Mattersey Hall, as well as details on the many extra aspects to our curriculum, as you read further in this prospectus. This is a vital stage of your life, as you consider your future vocation.
I trust that this prospectus, and Mattersey Hall itself, leads towards the fulfilment of your vocation and all the gifts you have to offer the world you live in.
