The MA in Missional Leadership (or MAML) is our premier professional qualification for contemporary Christian leaders. Dealing with key issues such as mentoring and personal development, organisational growth and management, advanced leadership skills, change management, and other related issues, this programme functions much like an Executive MBA in style and culture, being delivered over five short residential seminar sessions a year for two years in an up-market hotel in the city of Sheffield as well as at Mattersey Hall.
The four compulsory modules for this course are:
Self Leadership
Organisational Leadership
Leadership Strategy
Leadership Development
Mode of Delivery: 3 years part time (residential weekends throughout the year)
Admission Requirements: Applicants under 25 require a first degree in a biblical or theological subject, or a first degree in another subject plus at least two years’ relevant ministry experience. Applicants over 25 can be accepted on the basis of their experience in ministry and do not always need formal qualifications for admission. Additionally, applicants for this programme must have been in a position of leadership in a local church or parachurch organisation for at least two years, and since the candidate’s research and studies will be practically focussed and deal with real-life leadership issues in their home context, we will expect a level of participation from the candidate’s church, organisation or employer in the process. We are confident that the sending organisation will benefit from the programme just as much as the student they are supporting through it.
