Mattersey Hall itself is a large eighteenth-century country mansion set in 14 acres of beautiful lawns and gardens and playing field. The mansion accommodates the college library and staff and faculty offices as well as the college’s media centre.
Residential students are accommodated on campus in our hall of residence, which provides individual study bedrooms for over 100 students, double rooms with en-suite facilities for married couples, a common room and the dining room. Wireless broadband internet access is available throughout the building. Our Student Amenities Centre is where our games room (with snooker, pool and table tennis) and cooking facilities for students are located, as well as an excellent bookshop … and best of all, it is the home of the fabulous new Wired! internet café, which sells Seattle’s Best Coffee, the best place to chill out on campus. Outside, in the summer, we have an open-air swimming pool, putting green, volleyball and a grass tennis court.
A prestigious and comfortable teaching block houses well-equipped classrooms with multimedia teaching facilities at ground-floor level, and upstairs a spacious chapel, where morning chapel services and other corporate devotional activities of the College take place. The college is also home to the Donald Gee Centre, one of the world’s primary resources for the study of Pentecostal history and theology, and therefore a major focus for international research into these areas.
The college’s leadership and governors are committed to a substantial campus development project over the next few years which will enhance our facilities further. |
