David HarveyBA (Sheffield / Mattersey Hall) MA (King's College London) David did his undergraduate work in biblical theology at Mattersey Hall before continuing to King's College London where he completed a Master's Degree in biblical studies. Currently David is the teaching Pastor at The Bridge Church Bolton and he serves at Mattersey Hall as part of the faculty, where he teaches New Testament. David has been involved in local church ministry since he graduated from Mattersey and has been at the Bridge Church since 2006, prior to that he spent time serving in churches in Stevenage, Bedworth and also worked with Youth Alive. At Mattersey Hall David has a part-time faculty position where he teaches New Testament subjects on the undergraduate programme, specifically, New Testament Survey, New Testament Background, New Testament Studies, and New Testament Theology. David is also involved in doctoral research at Manchester University. His research interests are related to Paul's letter to the Galatians and how that letter was read and understood in its first century context. These interests are motivated by David's interest in how the Pauline letters are used in guiding and shaping Christian living in the 21st Century. David was born in Falkirk in Scotland, before growing up in Sierra Leone, West Africa. David is married to Laura and they both live in Bolton. You can find David's blog at www.davidsharvey.co.uk
