LibrarianAnne Dyer - Librarian

Now the Librarian at Mattersey, Anne started life across the Humber in Hull. Becoming a Christian as a child and gaining a call to mission among Muslims in her teenage years, she went to Manchester University to study for a BA in Ancient History and Archaeology – theology not being favoured by her church! Having gained her degree and met her husband Colin in the process, the Dyers went to Lebanon Missionary Bible College, and from there went to work in Thailand’s southern provinces with Muslims with the Overseas Missionary Fellowship from 1980-93.

On returning home, Anne found work in a public library, while working voluntarily with the local church in Grimsby. By 1999 she became involved in research once again, which led to her taking an MTh at Mattersey (2002) and a PhD on the history of AoG world missions with the University of Wales, Bangor (2008). Anne has also been Secretary of the European Pentecostal Theological Association since 2004.

Her son and daughter are now actively making their own way into Christian mission.
